typeScoutMonetizationVoteV1 remembers a deliberately submitted plan preference so this browser does not vote twice. The service receives only the plan choice and stores it as a daily aggregate count. It does not receive payment or contact details.
1. Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small values stored by a browser and sent with certain requests. Local storage stays in the browser and supports device-local preferences and projects. Similar identifiers may be used by advertising or consent partners when those services are enabled.
2. Essential storage
| Name or type | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Type Scout project storage | Keeps briefs, font roles, palettes, saved directions, and project settings on your device. | Until cleared by you or the browser. |
type_scout_session | Authenticates an optional account using an HttpOnly, SameSite cookie. | Up to 30 days. |
typeScoutPrivacyConsent | Remembers whether anonymous analytics and advertising are allowed. | Until changed or cleared. |
3. Anonymous analytics
When allowed, Type Scout sends only an allowlisted action name and stores a daily aggregate count. It does not attach project content, audited URLs, account IDs, IP addresses, or a per-visitor history to these counts.
4. Advertising storage
If live Google AdSense is configured and you allow advertising, Google and approved partners may use cookies, IP addresses, web beacons, or other identifiers to serve and measure ads, limit repetition, detect fraud, and—where permitted—personalize advertising based on visits to this and other sites.
You can manage Google advertising personalization through Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors may provide additional opt-out tools.
5. Change your choice
Choosing “Essential only” prevents Type Scout from sending analytics counts or initiating the AdSense script. Clearing browser storage may remove your saved preference and cause the choice to appear again.
6. Regional consent requirements
Before serving ads to visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, Type Scout must use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the applicable IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The controls on this page are a product preference layer and do not replace that certified platform.
Live ads remain a deployment feature. The operator must activate and verify a certified CMP in AdSense Privacy & Messaging before enabling advertising in affected regions.
